Aleta Anderson Davis lives in a historic home in Salisbury, Maryland, with her husband, cats, birds, and hundreds of books. This is her first book.

Her parents, Bob and Linda, live in West Virginia, near where she grew up. After her mother had a health scare early in the pandemic, Davis spent time back home helping out. While her parents are doing well now, if they have more issues, she’s ready to move to Virginia or Maryland to help.
Mary is survived by her husband Gerald Fluhrer, stepdaughter Sophie Fluhrer, daughter Aleta Davis (Shawn), their children Galton, Arden, and Agatha of Libby, Montana, and half-sister Shirley Cripe of Tri-Cities, WA. Her beautiful son Dylan died tragically only three days after Mary’s passing.
The name Aleta Davis may not be familiar to storytelling enthusiasts but, after Saturday, a lot of folks will know who she is.
Back by popular demand, nationally acclaimed storytellers Donald Davis and Kathryn Tucker Windham will return to the stage of the Brundidge Historical Society’s 2009 Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival on January 30 and 31.
