Photography with models showing female pubic hair is becoming increasingly important as an expression of naturalness, self-determination and body positivity. At a time when body images are heavily influenced by retouched media and beauty ideals, many photographers are consciously focusing on a realistic and unadulterated depiction of the human body. Visible pubic hair can be seen as a symbol of individuality, naturalness and a break with social taboos. In artistic nude photography in particular, it is not used for provocation, but for aesthetic diversity and the authentic representation of physicality.
