Later, female Ranma enters the bath. A white cat enters, freaking female Ranma out. Ranma jumps into the hot bath to become male. The cat jumps in and turns into a very naked Shampoo. Meanwhile, Akane enters to see what the commotion is about. Seeing Ranma and Shampoo in a naked embrace, she retreats. The next morning, she addresses him as Ranma-kun, and with pretend calmness, turns him into a girl and sends Ranma flying.
Akane scoops up the little guy and takes an immediate shine to it. She orders Ranma to take it to the bath with him, and Ryouga inevitably transforms back into a (naked) guy upon entering the hot water. Ryouga then tells Ranma how he followed him to China and ended up being shoved into a pond that cursed him.
But until that second time encountering one another naked, Ranma was going over in his head the duality of Akane. Sure, she can be hostile and violent, but particuilarly when she thought he was a girl full-time, she was also very friendly, kind, and I daresay cute.
